Essentially I have been working in a partnership for several years working on building a social networking site which will allow people to connect with small businesses in a whole new way. We recently made a decision to attempt and integrate my web hosting and design services into the larger E-Compliment family. I have been spending more and more time recently, since I started working overnights at Krispy Kreme, spending time in devotion and prayer with God. Also, I have recently acquired an iPod and have been able to listen to daily bible reading via podcast and worship music. My 4 hour drives in the van have become personal worship times with God. It has been pretty neat.

I met with my Pastor (Pastor Gary) yesterday to work through some issues I have been having in terms of trying to hear God. God spoke through him and this is what he said.

I need to truly surrender to God's will. I need to give up the control that I have held onto for awhile. I hadn't realized it, but somehow I have not completely and honestly given my mind to God. Instead, I have been controlling my thoughts and I have been trying to get through life on my terms. I no longer need to have this control and I have given it up.

I have been tossing around the idea of trying to start a mission of some kind to students at Arizona State University. I have no idea what it would look like or even how to start. But in all my confusion about job hunting, I could not sleep last night because I was excitedly pondering what kind of new work God could use me to start on campus.

So Hey All!

I have been trying to post regularly here about all sorts of things and maybe I might start using my blog as a journal for one of my classes, who knows. Also, I have been hunting for a more reliable form of employment. I am praying to find a job with a local church. We'll see how that goes, I guess.

I have been writing a bit more lately. I am hoping that it will continue. I have basically decided that my blog is going to be a place where I write about everything that I can think of. As a warning to the less than spiritual, I will be talking a lot of God and there will be written prayers because that is a big part of who I am. And right now in life I am going through some things which are making God a bigger deal to me than a lot of other things. (Which I suppose is the way it's always supposed to be anyway.)
